5 May 2014- UN Police Adviser Stefan Feller today met with displaced people seeking shelter at the UNMISS base in the Upper Nile State capital Malakal.

“I am here to assess the challenging situation in which my colleagues including UN police officer are working to assist those who came here for their safety,” he said.

The Police Adviser, who is in the country as part of a high-level delegation led by peacekeeping operations chief Under Secretary-General Herve Ladsous, also met with State Governor Simon Kun.

Mr. Kun assured the UN police chief of cooperation from the government in all aspects of work.
