In the presence of hundreds of UNMISS peacekeepers, David Shearer, new Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG), received a ceremonial welcome from guards of honor on Saturday morning at the Mission’s UN House compound in the Jebel area of Juba.
Mr. Shearer was also welcomed by the Mission’s senior officials as well as commanders from troop-contributing countries.
