WFP chartered plane skids of runway at Bor airport

The United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) has facilitated movement and administered medical support at the Sri Lankan Level II hospital in Bor of  crew members who sustained minor injuries, from a World Food Programmed (WFP) plane which skidded off the runway at Bor airport in Jonglei.

 “The crew is fine, and there is a technical team coming from Juba to assess the cause of the incident,” said Baraj Ajak Deputy Director of Bor airport.

The Aircraft, an Antinov 32 was chartered by the WFP logistic cluster from Juba to transport humanitarian relief from Bor to Malakal.
