  • 22 Mar 2012 - Torit, 28 February 2012: In an effort to enhance computer literacy and encourage reading amongst students in the Eastern Equatorial State (EES) of South Sudan, the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) yesterday commissioned and handed over a Computer Centre and Library to the Torit Secondary Day School.
  • 22 Mar 2012 - On Saturday 7 January, the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General (SRSG) to South Sudan, Hilde F. Johnson, visited Pibor town and Fartait village in Jonglei State following the recent attacks by the Lou Nuer Youth. The SRSG was accompanied by UNMISS Force Commander, General Moses Obi and the Ambassadors of the United States, Susan Page, of France, Christian Bader, and the UK Charge d'Affaires, Brian Jones.
  • 22 Mar 2012 - Juba, 24 February 2012: The United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) yesterday launched the first of a series of sensitization seminars in Juba for Commanders of the Sudan People's Liberation Army (SPLA), in an effort to build confidence, share information and inform about the Mission's mandate, Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) and Concept of Operations.
