  • 05 Jul 2013 - Juba, 5 July 2013 - Herve Ladsous, the Under-Secretary-General (USG) for peacekeeping operations, accompanied by the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations Missions in South Sudan (UNMISS) Hilde F. Johnson and the Head of the United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA) General Yohannes Tesfamariam, metwith the President of South Sudan Salva Kiir Mayardit and a delegation of the Government on 5 July 2013.
  • 04 Jul 2013 - Juba, 4 July 2013 - The Korean Engineering Company based in Bor as part of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) is undertaking various projects to upgrade the infrastructure around the capital of the state of Jonglei. The projects include maintenance of roads, construction of the main waste disposal site for the city, and building parking for aircraft along the airstrip.
  • 04 Jul 2013 - Juba, 4 July 2013- Herve Ladsous, the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations will travel to South Sudan for a three-day visit starting on Friday 5 July.
  • 28 Jun 2013 - Juba, 28 June - On Monday 1st July, the United Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) will commence a phased hand-over of its security by transferring protection of its premises to the private company Warrior Security (South Sudan). UNMISS has shared the plan with the Government of South Sudan.

UNMISS urges all concerned parties to halt the violence against civilians and allow for timely access and delivery of assistance to vulnerable persons.

This road, one of Juba's most important arteries, had deteriorated significantly.

This workshop, taking place in Juba, will be held for South Sudan Legislative Assembly members, from the South Sudan Parliamentary Lobby Group on Children.
