The two rival Kook sections of Panawac and Pacong of Rumbek East signed a final peace agreement with the support from UNMISS’ Civil Affairs Division on Tuesday afternoon in the presence of Governor Mr. Abraham Makoi Bol Kodi.

The United Nations Mission in South Sudan handed over a four-classroom block constructed at Sunrise Nursery and Primary School to the community of Naagori in Yambio County.

Approximately 40 participants attended 3 days of training on transitional justice and peace and reconciliation in the Bentiu PoC site. The participants were traditional leaders, representatives of women’s and youth groups and civil society organizations.
