4 June 2012 – The United Nations refugee chief today warned of a sharply worsening humanitarian situation in South Sudan's Upper Nile State, which has seena sudden increase in refugees arriving from neighbouring Sudan.

Joyce was among a group of 42 returnees who left a camp in Malakal on 29 May to board a flight to the Warrap State capital of Kuajok.

29 May 2011 – The Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for South Sudan Hilde F. Johnson today urged UN peacekeepers to rededicate themselves to achieving lasting peace for the citizens of the Republic of South Sudan.
