Children splash in makeshift pools of muddy water, the result of a heavy night of rain and thunder in the small town of Bunj in the Upper Nile region of South Sudan.

The founder of Ana Taban Arts Initiative told a spectrum of artists from Yei comprising of musicians, comedians, artists of fine art, dramatists, as well as dancers to embrace peace and reconciliation through their respective artistic fields.

Youth in Yei River State received a two-day training in conflict management skills to help them identify and respond to local tensions, as well as design appropriate measures to contain them before they exacerbate into major conflicts.
