A South Sudanese Youth activist is calling  for the creation of  Peer to Peer  HIV support groups in South Sudan, on World Aids Day.

Peer to Peer  support has already gained ground in Maridi, where HIV health workers are reporting a spike in HIV prevalence rates.

The world has achieved significant progress in human development over the past two decades. The global poverty rate fell by more than half.  People are living longer and healthier lives, and are better educated.

John Abayi, a Clinical Officer at the Yei Hospital in Yei River State, says that since September the hospital has received seven victims of rapes and gang rapes, committed either by uniformed people or by other criminals.
