Juba, 20 Sept 2011 – The United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) today welcomed the Government's statement that it had taken action against members of the South Sudan Police Service, who were responsible for an assault on one of UNMISS staff members on 20 August.

21 September 2011 – A call for civilians to be disarmed was repeated across South Sudanese states during this year's International Day of Peace celebrations.
