In an effort to assist people with special need in Malakal, the Humanitarian Development Consortium Organization (HDCO) handed over ingredients for bread making to caretakers in Malakal town and the PoC site.

The South Sudanese Karate Association has been training alongside members of the Japanese engineering contingent serving at the United Nations Mission in South Sudan.
Winny Paul has been training intensively in preparation for competing at South Sudan’s first national karate competition held in Juba over the weekend.
“Practising karate makes me feel strong in mind and body and is important for my future, ” said the 20-year-old.

We are disturbed by the escalation of violence and subsequent suffering of civilians in South Sudan as a result of the recent government offensive.
The UNMISS Indian engineering company maintains the Bentiu-Abeimnom-AjakKuac road, which was severely damaged by the previous rain season. The roadwork has enabled humanitarian convoys of food aid to arrive from Juba
The flow of humanitarian supplies and goods is being expedited by the roadwork conducted by the UNMISS Indian engineering company. Since the beginning of 2017, 270 kilometers of road have become operational in Unity State.
