SRSG Pledges UNMISS Support During Visit to Eastern Equatoria State
Juba, 19 Aug 2011 - The Special Representative of the UN Secretary General (SRSG), Hilde F. Johnson began a one day visit to Eastern Equatoria state today to pledge support of the new UN mission, UNMISS, for the population and state authorities.

UNMISS conducts HIV/AIDS training in Rumbek

20 September 2011 – Continuing its campaign to raise local awareness about HIV/AIDS, UNMISS is holding a 10-day HIV/AIDS Change Agents Course for participants from the Government of South Sudan Uniformed Services in Rumbek, Lakes State.

UNMISS Chinese contingents in Wau awarded UN medals
6 September 2011 - UNMISS Force Commander Maj. Gen. Moses Bisong Obi today awarded UN commendation medals in the Western Bahr El-Ghazal state capital of Wau to Chinese military who had completed their South Sudanese service in the area.
