Juba, 15 January, 2015 - The United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) is pleased to welcome the pending deployment of a Chinese infantry battalion which will be based and operating out of UNMISS Headquarters in Juba.

15 January 2015 - To promote peaceful co-existence amongst the internally displaced persons (IDPs) at the UNMISS protection site in Malakal, Upper Nile State, religious leaders at the site recently started a peace and reconciliation campaign.

Juba, 9 January 2015 - The UNMISS Human Rights Division today issued a 33-page report concerning allegations that armed opposition forces killed hundreds of civilians on 15 April 2014 after they retook control of the Unity State capital of Bentiu from government troops.
