Unity State, home to nearly a million people, has dramatically expanded its investigative capacity with 19 new investigators and one prosecutor trained by UNMISS and UNPOL, funded by the Norwegian Embassy in Juba. The training, aimed at addressing serious crimes, especially sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), is a significant step in rebuilding South Sudan's justice system devastated by conflict.

Mobile courts in post-conflict South Sudan deliver justice to underserved communities, addressing cases like sexual violence and child rights abuses. With support from UNMISS and funding from the Norwegian Embassy, these courts provide fair trials and strengthen the judiciary, even in remote areas.
