Awareness-raising campaign needed for rape victims and women in general in Yei

John Abayi, a Clinical Officer at the Yei Hospital in Yei River State, says that since September the hospital has received seven victims of rapes and gang rapes, committed either by uniformed people or by other criminals.

A South Sudanese Youth activist is calling for the creation of Peer to Peer HIV support groups in South Sudan, on World Aids Day.

Peer to Peer support has already gained ground in Maridi, where HIV health workers are reporting a spike in HIV prevalence rates.

Primary school leaving certificate exams underway in Bentiu PoC site and elsewhere

More than 900 pupils are entering the last day of sitting for their primary leaving certificate examinations in the Unity area. More than half of them have been schooled within the UNMISS Protection of Civilians (PoC) site in Bentiu, where they are also taking their exams.
