JUBA - It was a sunny day in South Sudan’s capital city, Juba, when United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations, Jean-Pierre Lacroix, touched down for a four-day tour of the world’s youngest nation.

Climate change is real and has hit South Sudan hard. In Jonglei, UNMISS engineers from South Korea are doing all they can to ensure local communities are protected from the ravages of floodwater and humanitarian aid reaches the most vulnerable.
