12 August 2013 - Aiming to enhance parliamentarians' knowledge of state legislative assembly regulations, UNMISS handed over 100 copies of "Conduct of Business Regulations" in the state capital Aweil today.

According to State Legislative Assembly Speaker Achol William Amuol, only a few members have access to the document due to lack of a printing facility.

"The document is ... our conduct of business regulation meant to guide members on their day-to-day duties," said Ms. Amuol.

Following a request from the speaker, UNMISS assisted with printing more copies.

UNMISS Civil Affairs Officer Luis Perez-Segnini noted that many parliamentarians had no knowledge of internal regulations and urged them all to read, understand and follow guidance in the document.
