Church leadership calls upon communities to revive trust and accept forgiveness

Bentiu hospital has received a new water system from UN Childrens’ Organsation UNICEF.  The water pump produces 162-thousand litres of water a day, serving the hospital’s wards and outpatient facility.  The water system in Bentiu Referral Hospital was damaged and looted during the conflict.

After the long search for a solution to peace and stability in Rumbek, three community have  reached a settlement. The peace and reconciliation conference has ended the deadly conflict between three communities in Rumbek centre and Rumbek north county. This sectional feud has devastated and claimed many lives, villages have been deserted, and schools have been evacuated.  The conference drew participants from the diaspora, National MPs and state authorities. The Bishop of the Episcopal Church of Sudan, Alphayo Manyang Kuctiel, urged citizens to build trust and come together as brothers and sisters.
