The Communications and Public Information Section together with other substantive sections of the mission carried out an outreach event with students of Hope and Resurrection Secondary School on UNMISS mandate in Atiaba, Rumbek East.

While there, Deputy Head Master Mr. Dovico Mabor welcomed integrated UNMISS team to interact with students. He also appealed to UNMISS to support the school by enlarging girls’ dormitory to accommodate more girls who are being deprived of the right to education.

“You are greatly welcome to share ideas with our students……allow me to seize this chance to appeal to you (UNMISS) to support girls education by enlarging dormitory to accommodate more girls; some of which are being denied access to learning by parents.”

CPI Officer in Charge Mr. Mageng Wade applauded students and teachers for their hospitality.

“On behalf of UNMISS team, I am very happy to the teachers and students of this school for demonstrating respect and responsibility.”

The engagement was attended by over 200 students and teachers.
