The Deputy Military Advisor in the Office of Military Affairs, Department of UN Peacekeeping Operations, visited Juba today.

During his visit, Major General A. J. Foster met with the Special Representative of the Secretary General, Ellen Loej and UNMISS Force Commander, Lieutenant-General Yohannes Gebremeskel Tesfamariam, as well as other senior UNMISS military officials.

Maj. Gen. Foster also visited the mission’s Level II hospital, which is run by the Cambodian Contingent and also met with representatives of the Chinese Battalion in Juba.

He later paid a visit to the Inter-governmental Authority on Development (IGAD) Liaison Office.
