Japan-funded Na-Bari road rehabilitation project completed with the official handover ceremony

Juba, 22 November 2013 - Embassy of Japan, Ministry of Physical Infrastructure (MOPI) of Central Equatoria State, and United Nations Mission in the Republic of South Sudan (UNMISS) remarked the completion of Juba Na-Bari Community Road (Kololo Rd.) rehabilitation project on 21st November. Handover ceremony was conducted on the same day with the attendance of H.E. Mr. Takeshi Akamatsu,Ambassador of Japan to South Sudan, H.E. Mr. Simon Mijok Mijak, Deputy Minister of Transport, Roads and Bridges, H.E. Mr. Toby Lanzer, Deputy Special Representative of Secretary-General, UNMISS, H.E. Mr. Christopher Sarafino, Mayor of Juba City, Colonel Harutoshi Tsuchiya, Commander of Japanese Contingent to UNMISS, and Mr. Atsushi Hanatani, Chief Representative of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) South Sudan.
