UNMISS heavy machines are bulldozing their way at the University of Juba as the Japanese contingent of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan has launched a renovation exercise today to improve the university’s football field.

UN Habitat has handed over a Flood Protection, Water and Sanitation and Livelihood project to Alel Chok payam, Marial Bai County, Wau state. The project was funded by the Japanese government at a total cost of 2.4 million dollars. This cost included projects in Juba and Awiel.

A south Sudanese peace activist has scooped the Danish Livia Award,  given to persons or groups who strive to handle conflicts in society with courage, creativity and nonviolence.
