13 March 2015 - Following up on a pledge made at the High-Level Event on the Humanitarian Crisis in South Sudan in Nairobi on 9 February, Japan today confirmed a contribution of US $2.5 million for the mine action in the country.
12 March 2015 - To promote peace and security in Wau County, UNMISS today handed over a police post to the county’s police commission.
The police post worth $50,000 was built using funding from the mission’s Quick Impact Projects.
12 March 2015- As part of continuing efforts to enhance community policing in Eastern Equatoria State, UN Police (UNPOL) advisors today held an awareness forum on crime prevention.
11 March 2015 - Seeking to promote peace and enhance conflict management, UNMISS today concluded a training workshop for members of parliament in the Jonglei State capital Bor.
11 March 2015 - UNMISS and partners recently started supporting displaced children living at the mission’s protection site in the Upper Nile state capital Malakal to sit examinations at centres outside the base.
8 March 2015 - Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) at the UNMISS base in the Upper Nile state capital Malakal recently received a donation from Viable Support to Transition and Stability (VISTAS), a programme funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID).
10 March, 2015- The Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General (SRSG) and head of UNMISS Ellen Margrethe Loej, and the U.S. Charge D’Affaires, Charles Twining, visited the Upper Nile State capital Malakal today.
