Hundreds of people sheltering from violence at Bangasu camp in the Western Equatorian region of South Sudan have received humanitarian relief for the first time since they fled their homes in June.

The Protection of Civilian(PoC) site adjacent to the UNMISS base in Wau is currently sheltering more than 33,000 civilians who fled their home because of insecurity and the mission with partners is looking into ways to creating enabling environment to decongest the site.
