The United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) wishes to comment on a recent press statement released by the SPLA I/O and other social media comments accusing UNMISS of facilitating government operations against the SPLA in Opposition in South Sudan.

UNMISS heavy machines are bulldozing their way at the University of Juba as the Japanese contingent of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan has launched a renovation exercise today to improve the university’s football field.

UN Habitat has handed over a Flood Protection, Water and Sanitation and Livelihood project to Alel Chok payam, Marial Bai County, Wau state. The project was funded by the Japanese government at a total cost of 2.4 million dollars. This cost included projects in Juba and Awiel.
