Ugandan bishop pleads for peace in South Sudan

A church leader in South Sudan’s neighbouring country Uganda has made a passionate appeal for an end to the fighting in South Sudan, citing the extent of suffering among thousands of people dislodged by the conflict.

Bentiu hospital has received a new water system from UN Childrens’ Organsation UNICEF. The water pump produces 162-thousand litres of water a day, serving the hospital’s wards and outpatient facility. The water system in Bentiu Referral Hospital was damaged and looted during the conflict.
