6 January 2013 - Over 2,000 South Sudanese wounded in fighting that broke out on 15 December had received surgical treatment from the World Health Organization (WHO) and partners, according to a report issued by WHO today.

6 January 2014 - Seeking funds to assist with South Sudan’s crisis and humanitarian needs, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) today launched an appeal for $23.3 million.
5 January 2014 - With little more than the shirts on their backs, some 1,500 foreign nationals have been relocated to Juba or the Sudanese town of Heglig from the UNMISS compound in Bentiu, Unity State.

3 January 2014 - Aid agencies had drawn up a plan for January, February and March to provide protection, water, food, shelter and healthcare for people most affected by ongoing crisis in South Sudan, a top UN official said in a statement issued today.

31 December 2013 - Seeking too improve security at an UNMISS camp in Bentiu, Unity State, civilians sheltering there organized their first peace meeting today, with support from mission staff.
