18 December 2013 – Large numbers of people in need of medical attention after two days of violence constitute the most acute humanitarian challenge facing the South Sudanese capital Juba, the UN resident and humanitarian coordinator said today.

Juba, 17 December 2013 - The Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, Hilde F. Johnson, calls on all South Sudanese and all parties in the current situation to refrain from any community motivated violence.

13 December 2013 - UNMISS South Korean peacekeepers in the Jonglei State capital Bor today started construction of two classroom blocks at Lualdit Primary School, which is currently lacking adequate space.
