Juba, 4 July 2013 - The Korean Engineering Company based in Bor as part of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) is undertaking various projects to upgrade the infrastructure around the capital of the state of Jonglei.
29 June 2013 – The appointment of judges drawn from the country's formal justice system to preside over two recently established special courts in Unity State will improve the rule of law, the state's High Court President William Kaya Pacifico said in Bentiu today.
Juba, 28 June - On Monday 1st July, the United Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) will commence a phased hand-over of its security by transferring protection of its premises to the private company Warrior Security (South Sudan). UNMISS has shared the plan with the Government of South Sudan.
A member of the UNMISS Indian Battalion medical corps training nursing students at Upper Nile University, Malakal. Twenty-six students enrolled in a four-year degree course at the university are benefitting from the expertise and experience of the Indian contingent's medical professionals.
27 June 2013 - Since attaining independence, South Sudan has made important strides in establishing the necessary institutions for responding to the human rights needs of its people, UNMISS Human Rights Director Ibrahim Wani said in Juba today.
