5 June 2013 - Seeking to improve delivery of justice for vulnerable groups, UNMISS concluded a two-day workshop for law enforcement institutions from Upper Nile and Unity states in Malakal today.
South Sudan joined the global community in celebrating World Environment Day on 5 June. For the new nation, a key environmental challenge is water resources management. Overall access to safe water is estimated at only 34 percent and improved sanitation close to 15 percent.

Juba, 2 June 2013 - On 30 May, the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) conducted a one-day mission to Boma, Jonglei state. This was the first time UNMISS had returned to Boma since the SPLA entered the town on 18 May.
