Pibor residents learn UNMISS role

10 October 2012 - To boost awareness of UNMISS' role in supporting peace, the mission held a workshop today in Pibor, Jonglei State, for 72 traditional chiefs, youth leaders, women and county officials.

Addressing participants, Pibor County Commissioner Joshua Konyi urged them to work for peace among themselves and with neighbouring communities. "You learned many things from this workshop. As chiefs of the community, we expect you to go and disseminate all the messages of peace you heard."
