5 February 2013 -The UNMISS head Hilde F. Johnson visited Wau in Western Bahr-El-Ghazal for the first time since the violence there in December 2012.

She called for those persons most responsible for the crimes and murders to be held accountable and tried in a court of law. She met with politicians, as well as others including chiefs and traditional leaders.
