UNMISS organizes workshop for over forty participants on good governance in Rumbek

In order to enhance effective government, UNMISS brought together 46 representatives of political parties, civil society and the media to dialogue on the area of good governance.

Speaking to participants, the Head of Field Office Mr. Kwame Dwamena Aboagye promised to collaborate with the stakeholders to ensure an accountable government.

“As the Head of UNMISS, I promise to work hand in hand with the political parties, civil society and the media to promote good governance by collectively fighting corruption, injustices, and insecurity among other vices.”

In a similar way, the State governor Mr. Abraham Makoi Bol commended UNMISS for organizing  such a forum, expecting the participants to work for the good of all.

“I would like to thank the UNMISS for convening this forum for political parties, civil society and media. I am sure after this workshop; the groups will jointly work for the common interests of our citizens.”

The ruling party SPLM promises to cooperate with other political parties, civil society organizations and the media.
