The third round of training program on Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) organized by the UNMISS Police in coordination with Human  Rights Division and Child Protection Unit took place at the UNMISS PoC site between 9th  May and 13th May 2016  for 51 internally displaced persons.

The head of the UNMISS Civil Affairs Division (CAD) in Western Equatoria met with the top authority of the Government in Yambio to discuss the way forward and how they can support the implementation of the signed peace deal between the Government and South Sudan National Liberation Movement-IO.

A ‘Sports for Peace and Unity’ football competition kicked off in the Malakal PoC site under the theme; “Together for a peaceful nation.”  The activity is part of an UNMISS quick impact project to harmonize and stabilize the security situation.  The initiative is funded by the UNMISS RRP section
