World Toilet Day

South Sudan joins the international community on 19 November in marking World Toilet Day, which aims to change behaviour on issues ranging from water management to open air defecation. Of the world’s seven billion people, only 4.5 billion have access to toilets or latrines. South Sudan is one of 22 countries that account for four-fifths of all open air defecation.
